Malcolm Reed]<\/p>\n<p>Dear members of the scientific committee of the Journal Papeles de Trabajo<br \/>\nsobre Cultura, Educaci\u00f3n y Desarrollo Humano \/ Working Papers on Culture,<br \/>\nEducation, and Human Development,<\/p>\n<p>On behalf of the editorial board, I would like to thank you for your<br \/>\nsupport and acceptance to join the scientific committee of the Journal.<br \/>\nYour acceptance will certainly add value to the Journal and this will make<br \/>\npossible to visualize an international community which has certain<br \/>\nconvergences around human behavior which were largely reduced during the<br \/>\n20th century both to the behaviorist \u201cblack box\u201d and to the cognitivist<br \/>\n\u201cmechanism\u201d. Aristotle said that \u201cBeing can be said in many ways\u201d and<br \/>\nelusive and complex concepts such as \u201cculture\u201d can also be conceptualized<br \/>\nin many different ways: social institutions, cultural artifacts,<br \/>\nlifestyles or sociocultural practices. In any case, I suspect that all of<br \/>\nus share a special feeling for the critical role that both culture and<br \/>\neducation have for the development of higher psychological processes and<br \/>\nultimately for the human mind and behavior.<\/p>\n<p>Secondly, I would like to acknowledge and thank the work done by David<br \/>\nPoveda, founder of the journal, and also to the editorial team of the<br \/>\n&#8220;Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Madrid&#8221;. David has now taken the role of editor<br \/>\nof the Journal &#8220;Linguistics and Education&#8221; and it is my honor and pleasure<br \/>\nto inherit the editorial responsibility of the Journal that David began 10<br \/>\nyears ago, in 2005, and which was edited, with the help of his team, in an<br \/>\nexceptional way and with great success. I would like to congratulate and<br \/>\nthank David and wish him good luck in his new publishing challenges.<\/p>\n<p>Attached below you will find the link to the new website where you will be<br \/>\nable to see your names as part of the scientific committee as well as the<br \/>\naccepted papers, instructions for authors and reviewers and others:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/psicologia.udg.edu\/PTCEDH\/presentation.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer\">http:\/\/psicologia.udg.edu\/<wbr \/>PTCEDH\/presentation.asp<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Journal has now opened a call for articles to be reviewed in any of<br \/>\nthe three modalities previewed. The articles to be reviewed can be sent in<br \/>\nboth Spanish and English to the following address: <a href=\"mailto:revista.ptcedh@udg.edu\">revista.ptcedh@udg.edu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Do not hesitate to send an article, if you consider it appropriate, as<br \/>\nwell as to facilitate information to colleagues and friends so they can<br \/>\nsend their work. The Journal, as you will see, is oriented towards<br \/>\nconceptualization work, empirical analysis (preferably qualitative<br \/>\nstudies) and social and educational intervention from a sociocultural<br \/>\nperspective. In this sense, the Journal sympathizes with other existing<br \/>\njournals such as &#8220;Culture &amp; Psychology&#8221;, &#8220;Mind, Culture and Activity&#8221;,<br \/>\n&#8220;Learning, Culture and Social Interaction&#8221; or &#8220;Human Development\u201d, of<br \/>\nwhich some of you are also editors. The particularity of Working Papers is<br \/>\nthat it is one of the few journals that accept articles in Spanish from a<br \/>\nVygotskian perspective emphasizing the relationship between human<br \/>\ndevelopment, culture and education.<\/p>\n<p>We hope to be able to contribute towards reflection and putting into<br \/>\naction a way of understanding human condition in which we are the result<br \/>\nof participation in educational practice ( both in schools and beyond<br \/>\nthem) in which we appropriate of the artifacts which orient, extend and<br \/>\nmotivate higher psychological processes such as verbal thought, identity<br \/>\nor intentional memory.
