Troubleshooting membership (payments)

When trying to become a member or renewing your membership sometimes things go wrong. We are sorry for that. Before contacting the secretary please first read the possible resolutions below.

When more visitors try to register/renew the system may be busy, hence in any case it might work to just try again later.

 

  • Clicking the url in the renewal email directs to CIVICRM website
    • The URL may run over more than one line and gets cut off. Cutting and pasting the url in the browser usually works.
  • Process stops/white screen
    • There might be a browser issue. Try again with another browser.
  • Paypal is not working
    • If you are using your paypal account, are you sure you have the right account info for Paypal? (You might have more than one account or mistyped something.)
    • If you are using a credit card,
      • There might be a browser issue. Try again with another browser.
      • Are you sure you have not mistyped?
        • Try the pay later option and make a bank transfer (or contact the secretary)
